Pacers In Paris
With Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs expected to be treated "like the Beatles" during the NBA’s Paris Games, the opposing Pacers are launching a swath of activations designed to even out the rooting interests at France’s Accor Arena.
Considering fans from over 50 countries are scheduled to attend the two games next Thursday and Saturday, the Pacers have launched a campaign that includes a "Quest for Gold" city-wide scavenger hunt; an NBA House "Gold Out" LED activation; watch parties at over a dozen pop-up Indiana Cafés; in-arena "Party Starters" who will hand out Pacers merchandise; and corporate partners wearing the team’s gold colors all over the city.
Through the newly minted website, pacersinparis.com, Parisian fans can register now to get a head start on the "Quest for Gold" scavenger hunt.
Another key component will be the Indiana Café watch parties, 16 total in and around the Seine and also back in Indianapolis. In addition, the team will lay down a portion of an LED basketball court -- complete with a 3-point line -- that simulates a packed gold Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Parisian fans can take part in precision shooting games to win prizes.
